The EPC contract signing ceremony for Mozambique's Tete 2X350MW coal-fired power plant project was held in Wuhan

On June 28, the signing ceremony of the EPC contract for Mozambique's Tete 2X350MW coal-fired power plant project was successfully held at Power China Hubei Engineering Co., Ltd. The EPC contract for the project was co-signed by Cheng Bing, Chairman of Sino-Harbor Construction Group (Hong Kong) Co., Limited, Lu Xuhong, Chairman of Mozambique Mining Resources Co., Ltd., and Zhao Qiming, General Manager and CPC Deputy Secretary of Power China Hubei Engineering Co., Ltd.

Qin Keding, General Manager of Sino-Harbor Construction Group (Hong Kong) Co.,Limited, Ma Huanxiao, General Manager of the companys Strategic Investment Department, Liu Hong, Chairman and secretary of the party committee of Power China Hubei Engineering Co., Ltd., Tu Jianhua, General Manager of the companys Overseas Business Department, Meng Yang, Vice General Manager of the companys Overseas Business Department, and Wang Kai, Africa regional general representative of the companys overseas business Department , Jin Xi , Marketing Manager for East and South Africa of the companys regional Department, Jiang Shihan, Chairman of Wuhan Weisheng Sea-land Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., and its General Manager, Sun Xiaofei, attended the signing ceremony.



The project is located in Tete, the capital of Tete province, Mozambique, with a planned installed capacity of two 350 MW supercritical coal-fired units. At the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation held in Beijing in April 2019, the President of Mozambique presented the project to the government of Chin as one of the key cooperation projects between China and Mozambique.
